Doki Doki Literature Club Plus Coming to All Platforms This Month

Today Team Salvato announced Doki Doki Literature Club Plus. This is an updated version of the 2017 hit freeware visual novel, Doki Doki Literature club. This version has updated HD graphics, new art, new content in the form of side stories, and features like a music player and art gallery.

The game will have 6 side stories that expand on the relationships between the characters. There will be a total of 6 stories, one for each pair of characters. The stories are set outside of the timeline of the main story and tell how the literature club members first met and how their friendships developed. These stories were written by series creator Dan Salvato and will feature new art and music.

The music player will feature all of the music from the main game, as well as the new music created for the side stories. Team Salvato brought on composer Nikki Kaelar to work with Dan on new music for the side stories. Two guest tracks from World of Warcraft composer Jason Hayes, and singer Azuria Sky are also included in the soundtrack.

The Gallery mode will feature over 100 pieces of art that unlock as players progress through the game. This includes art from the original game as well never-before-seen concept art, and the new updated game art from the side stories.
